Trivia
Continuity Problems
In an early episode of “Blue Heelers,” Maggie states that she was born in 1969. But then, in a 1996 episode, she celebrates her 25th birthday. Although Lisa McCune, the actress who played her, turned 25 that year, if Maggie was indeed born in 1969, she would have turned 27 in 1996.
In "Home and Away," it turned out that Kirsty and Jade weren't really twins. The scriptwriters seemed to have forgotten that when there was a mudslide in Summer Bay a few years earlier and Jade was trapped, Kirsty had been able to lead the search party to her twin due to twin-ESP or some other kind of twin-related sixth sense.
In “The Saddle Club,” a horse named Garnet is referred to as female in the first season, but at the beginning of the second season is referred to as male, then female again. Likewise, Starlight, a male horse in the first series, was called “Good girl,” in a second series episode.
Actors in Aussie shows who are from New Zealand
- “McLeod’s Daughters” is indeed a bit of a showcase of Kiwi talent. Lisa Chappell, Aaron Jeffery (who also starred in “Water Rats”), Jessica Napier (“Wildside”), Marshall Napier (“Police Rescue”) and Michala Banas (“Always Greener”) are all New Zealanders.

- Wil Traval played a priest in a 2003 episode of “All Saints,” and was then offered the role of Dr. Jack Quade, which he accepted, first appearing onscreen in 2004.
“Blue Heelers” stars in “Marshall Law”
- The most obvious one is, of course, two of the headlining stars, Lisa McCune and William McInnes, were both original cast members on “Heelers,” starring together for four years.
- Damian Walshe-Howling, who played Constable Adam Cooper in “Heelers,” played a lawyer that Lisa McCune’s character, Ros, had known a few years earlier.
- Samantha Tolj, who began her time as Constable Kelly O’Rourke in “Heelers” in 2004, starred as a clueless witness in the first episode of “Marshall Law.”

Yes, some of the actors and actresses are from New Zealand...but they're on Aussie TV, and I've got nothing against the Kiwis!
